Where It Started

Thirty years as an arborist gave me time to see what matters in tree care. I watched how trees respond to thoughtful pruning. I learned which hazards slip past untrained eyes. I understood that one homeowner's oak tree isn't interchangeable with another's.

That knowledge became the foundation for CDA Tree and Utility LLC. I wanted to build something that could scale that hands-on care across the greater Coeur d'Alene and Spokane areas without losing the attention to detail that keeps trees healthy and properties safe. A family-owned operation made sense—people who care about the work because they know the community, not because they're rotating through a chain.

Today we handle everything from routine pruning to hazard tree removal to storm cleanup. Every job carries the same rigor that developed over three decades. Not because we have to. Because that's what the work deserves.

What Years in the Field Taught Us

Family ownership means we stay invested in long-term relationships, not short-term volume. When we prune your tree, we're thinking about what it will look like in five years and how it will perform in a storm. We know you'll probably see us again, and that changes how we approach the work.

Assessment comes before action. Too many tree companies arrive with a chainsaw mentality. We listen to what you've noticed, examine the tree itself, and explain what we see. How We Work With You
